Exam Pattern:

The Exam Pattern Will be as Follows:

• Exam Will be Objective Type.
• The Exam Will be of 100 Questions/ Marks.
• Time Duration of Written Exam Will be 02 Hours.
• The multiple choice questions will be related to the culture of Uttarakhand, current affairs, general knowledge, geographical and historical information of Uttarakhand, mathematics, English, computer education reasoning.
• There Will be a Negative Marking of 1/4 of Marks.

Only successful candidates in the written examination for the designation Junior Assistant will be invited for computer typing and having a minimum speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi and English typing on computer and top 07 candidates will be called for typing against one post.

चयन के लिये परीक्षा ऑनलाइन माध्यम से 100 अंकों की 02 घण्टे की वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रकार (Objective Type With Multiple Choice) की होगी। जिसमें बहुविकल्पिय प्रश्न, जो कि उत्तराखण्ड की संस्कृति करंट अफेयर्स, जनरल नॉलेज, उत्तराखण्ड की भौगोलिक व ऐतिहासिक जानकारी गणित, अंग्रेजी, कम्प्यूटर एजुकेशन रिजनिंग से सम्बन्धित होंगे।

पदनाम कनिष्ठ सहायक हेतु लिखित परीक्षा में सफल अभ्यर्थियों को ही कम्प्यूटर टाईपिंग हेतु आमंत्रित किया जायेगा तथा कम्प्यूटर पर हिन्दी एवं अंग्रेजी टंकण में कम से कम 30 शब्द प्रति मिनट की गति हो तथा एक पद के विरुद्द टाईपिंग हेतु टॉप 07 अभ्यर्थी बुलाये जायेंगे।

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• Gen & OBC – 45% (सामान्य और अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग के लिए : 45%)
• SC & ST – 35% (अनुसूचित जाति / अनुसूचित जनजाति के लिए : 35%)

Exam Syllabus:

Exam Syllabus for Examination is given below :-

General Knowledge: History, Geography and Socio Economic development of Uttarakhand and India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.

Mathematics: The test of Arithmetical will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

English Language – Questions in this components will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on spot the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling/detecting mis-spelt words, idioms & phrases, one word substitution, improvement of sentences, active/passive voice of verbs, conversion into direct/indirect narration, shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences in a passage, cloze passage & comprehension passage.

Computer Knowledge – Basic of Computers, Computer Organization, Generations of computer, Input & Output Device, Shortcuts & Basic knowledge MS word, MS Excel, MS power point, Memory Orientation, Internet, LAN, WAN, Modem, Computer Abbreviations, Modern day Technology. Remember short cut Tricks of MS Word, MS Excel & Computer Abbreviations.

Current Events: Questions will be based on important Uttarakhand State, National and International current events including games.

History of Uttarakand: Historical background of Uttarakhand: Ancient period (from earliest to 1200 AD) ; Mediaeval period (from 1200 to 1815 AD): Important dynasties and their achievements; Gorkha invasion and administration, British rule, Tehri State and its administration, role of Uttarakhand in the Freedom Movement of India and related eminent personalities, historical sites and monuments; movements for the formation of Uttarakhand, contribution of people of Uttarakhand in National and International fields, especially in Armed forces; different social reform movements, and different welfare programmes of Uttarakhand for SC, ST, children, minorities and women.

Culture of Uttarakand: Castes and tribes, religious and folk beliefs, literature and folk literature, traditions and customs, costumes and ornaments; Fairs and Festiveals, food habits, art and Crafts, dances, songs, musical instruments, major tourist places, important sports, tournaments and awards, famous authors and poets of Uttarakhand and their contribution in the field of Hindi literature and folk literature, State steps taken by Uttarakhand for the development of culture.

Geography and Demography of Uttarakhand : Geographical Setup. Salient features of Uttarakhand Himalaya. Rivers and streams, mountains, climate, forest resources and horticulture. Major crops and crop rotation. Means of irrigation. Agricultural holdings. Natural and man-made calamities and Disaster management. Water crises and watershed management. Problems of remote areas. Environment and environmental movements. Biodiversity and its preservation. Population of Uttarakhand: Classification, density, sex ratio, literacy and out-migration.

Reasoning: Focus on Comprehension Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions, arithmetic reasoning, syllogistic reasoning, Inequalities, Seating Arrangements, Puzzles.
