General Awareness & General Knowledge :- History, Geography and Socio Economic development of West Bengal & India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.

Elementary Mathematics :- The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

Reasoning :- Questions will be from topics-  Analogies,  Similarities,  Differences, Space visualization, Problem solving, Analysis and Judgment, Decision-making, Visual memory, Discrimination, Observation, Relationship, Concepts, Arithmetical reasoning, Verbal and figure classification, Arithmetical number series, Abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, Arithmetical computations and other analytical functions.

General Intelligence and Reasoning

General Intelligence and ReasoningAnalytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding etc.

General Knowledge and General Awareness

General Knowledge and General AwarenessQuestion in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate9s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Science, General Policy, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

CRPF Constable Tradesman Trade Test :-

  • Candidates will be shortlisted for Trade Test from the pool of candidates who qualify in CBT, PST and PET.
  • Trade test, will be conducted through practical assessment and will be qualifying in nature. Out of 50 marks for practical Trade Test, a candidate must secure 20 marks to qualify.
  • During Trade test, a candidate will be asked to perform any activity pertaining to that particular trade/post for which he/she has appeared/applied. The parameters for each trade/post will be as under:-
DriverKnowledge of driving trade. Handling, driving, parking & maintenance of light & heavy vehicles etc.
FitterKnowledge in automobiles fitter/motor mechanic trade. Handling of tools, etc.
BuglerPlaying, handling and maintenance of Bugle.
TailorTaking measurement of persons, cutting / stitching of Terry Cotton uniform/ Civil Clothes. Cutting / stitching of warm clothing/ uniform etc.

General Hindi : उक्त भाग में अभ्यर्थियों से हिंदी भाषा के ज्ञान, समझ तथा लेखन योग्यता संबंधी प्रश्न पूछे जाएंगे। यह भाग उत्तर प्रदेश माध्यमिक शिक्षा परिषद की हाई स्कूल परीक्षा अथवा समकक्ष परीक्षा के स्तर का होगा।

अलंकार, रस, समास, पर्यायवाची, विलोम, तत्सम एवं तदभव, सन्धियां, वाक्यांशों के लिए शब्द निर्माण, लोकोक्तियाँ एवं मुहावरे, वाक्य संशोधन – लिंग, वचन, कारक, वर्तनी, त्रुटि से सम्बंधित अनेकार्थी शब्द।

General Intelligence Test : The purpose of this is the ability to test the candidate’s understanding of a new situation, analyze and identify its various elements. Questions in this test will be based on the Understanding and explore instructions, relationships, similarities, consistent, conclusions and actions etc.

TOPICS: Analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, Coding and decoding, Figural Series, Classification, Statement & Conclusion, Venn Diagrams etc.

General Knowledge : This part of question paper is to assess the candidates’ ability regarding general knowledge about his/her surroundings and about its use in society. In this test such a question which will be kept to check current events and everyday science and the facts of experience which may include historical and geographical facts. (Specially Related to India) and judged them to the knowledge of the scientific aspects, which can be expected of any educated person.

Selection Process :

The CSBC Bihar Police Constable Selection Process is Follow :

  1. Written Test
  2. Physical Efficiency/ Measurement Test (PET/PST)

Exam Pattern :

Exam Pattern for the Bihar Police Written Test is as Follows :

  • The written test will be multiple choice objective type.
  • There will be a question paper carrying 100 questions.
  • 01 marks will be allotted for each correct answer. So test will be of 100 marks.
  • The time duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
  • The Question Paper Will be of 12th Standard.
  • There is a physical Efficiency Test of 100 Marks.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.20 for each wrong answer.
  • Minimum 30 % Marks is compulsory in the written examination.
  • Final Merit list will be made on the basis of Physical Efficiency Test. Written examination marks will not be considered in the final merit list.

Exam Syllabus :

Exam Syllabus for Bihar Police Written Exam is given below:-

Hindi : Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms,  Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc.

English : Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms,  Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc. & Questions Focused on English grammar.

Math : Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ration and Proportion, Profit and Loss, Simple Interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Mensuration.

General Studies (History, Geography, and politics) : Questions of Social Study will include Indian History, Culture, Geography, Environment, Economic aspects, Freedom Movement, major features of Indian Agriculture & Natural Resources and Indian Constitution & Polity, Panchayati Raj, community development and 5 years Plan. General Knowledge of Geographical and Political condition of Bihar.

General Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) : Questions of General Science will include to test knowledge of matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person who didn’t study science as a subject. It will Also Include Knowledge of the Subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology form the level of 12th Standard.
