G.K. & Current Affairs :- History, Geography and Sociology Economic development of UT Chandigarh and India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Current Events, Sports, Entertainment, Modern History of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity & Economy, Geography of India.

Numerical Ability :- The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

Reasoning :- It will include the question of both verbal and non-verbal type. Question will be asked from analogies, similarities and and differences, problem solving, relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions, Venn diagrams, relationship concepts and Ability to observe and distinguish patterns etc.

In case of lost, misplaced or damaged PET & PMT admit cards, a copy will be provided at the help desk on the day of the PE & MT on a nominal payment of Rs. 50/-. Those who qualify the PET & PMT will be Issued fresh admit cards for the written examination on the same day at the venue of the PE & MT itself.

General Knowledge : In this objective of questions about general knowledge of surrounding society of the candidates to test the awareness about surrounding activities. Questions will also be included towards a scientist sight and thinking which expected from an educated person. So, candidates should must focus on affairs about India and its adjacent countries too. Scientific Progress/Development, Punjab & Haryana High Court Clerk Syllabus National/International Awards, Indian Languages, Books, Script, Capital, Currency, Sports-Athlete such as essential knowledge.

  • Part-II :- Candidates will have to qualify the Spread Sheet Test which is of 10 marks and of 10 minutes duration by securing 40% or more i.e. 4 or more marks.
  • Part-III :- Candidates will have to qualify Computer Typing Test in English at the speed of 30 W.P.M. Typing Speed will be calculated by using the following formula ;

No. of words Typed-Mistakes / 10

Part-II i.e. Word Processing Test will be checked only of those candidates who secured 4 or more marks in Spread Sheet Test (Part-I).

Examination can be conducted anywhere in the State of Punjab, Haryana, U.T of Chandigarh and Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi NCR.
