Educational Qualification For Chandigarh Police:

Minimum Qualification – Candidates Must have Pass the Higher Secondary (10+2 or Equivalent) to apply for this Constable Post.

*For Ex-Servicemen, l0+2 or Certificates awarded in the Defence Services which are
recognized as equivalent to l0+2

Driving License – Valid Driving license (Motor Car & Motor Cycle) is mandatory for all candidates (including Ex-servicemen) of the concerned licensing Authority. As a one time exception for the purpose of this recruitment only. this condition has been waived by IG/Chandigarh in respect of female candidates only.

► The time duration will be 01:45 hours (105 minutes).
► Each question will carry 01 mark for correct answer and a negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answer.

G.K. & Current Affairs :- History, Geography and Sociology Economic development of UT Chandigarh and India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Current Events, Sports, Entertainment, Modern History of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity & Economy, Geography of India.

Numerical Ability :- The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

Reasoning :- It will include the question of both verbal and non-verbal type. Question will be asked from analogies, similarities and and differences, problem solving, relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions, Venn diagrams, relationship concepts and Ability to observe and distinguish patterns etc.

About Recruitment :-

Chandigarh Police Department has invited applications for recruitment of Constable in Chandigarh Police. For the selection of these posts Chandigarh Police will conduct various tests i.e. physical test, written tests. At first Physical Test (PE & MT) will be conducted in upcoming dates.

Admit Card :-

The completed form will serve as ‘Admit Card’ for the Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PET & PMT) and no separate admit cards will be issued or sent to the candidates. In case of lost, misplaced or damaged PET & PMT admit cards, a copy will be provided at the help desk on the day of the PE & MT on a nominal payment of Rs. 50/-. Those who qualify the PET & PMT will be Issued fresh admit cards for the written examination on the same day at the venue of the PE & MT itself.
