Exam Pattern For Puducherry UDC
- The Question paper will be of Degree standard of objective type consisting of single part in forenoon session
- The Written Exam duration Will Be Of 2 hours.
- Total Number Of Questions Will Be 100 questions.
- Each Question Will Carry 1 mark
- The paper Will be Of General Mathematics, General Science, General English, Indian History and Geography, Indian Economics, Constitution of India, General Knowledge and Current affairs Subjects.
- There Will Be Negative mark of 0.25 will be awarded for every wrong answer and multiple answers will be treated as a wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this aspect in mind while answering the questions.
- In Short, The Question paper will be in bilingual (except General English) i.e., in English and in any one of the regional languages namely, Tamil or Telugu or Malayalam. Therefore, the candidates should indicate the choice of the language in which they prefer to write the examination, in the on-line application.

Exam Syllabus
Exam Syllabus :- In Short Puducherry UDC Exam Syllabus will be as following :
General Mathematics : – The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers for Example decimals ,fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage. Ratio & Proportion,Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School.
General English : – Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested. Questions will be based on spot the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling/detecting mis-spelt words, idioms & phrases, one word substitution, improvement of sentences.
Also General Knowledge & current Affairs: – Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research.
Science – Questions of General Science will include especially to test knowledge of matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person who didn’t study science as a subject. It will Also Include Knowledge of the Subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology form the level of 12th Standard.
Indian History and Geography : – Lastly Questions of Social Study will include Indian History, Culture, Geography, Environment, Economic aspects, Freedom Movement, major features of Indian Agriculture & Natural Resources and Indian Constitution & Polity, Panchayati Raj, community development and 5 years Plan. Generally The General Knowledge of Geographical and Political condition of Bihar.
