Haryana PSC Post Graduate Teacher Exam Pattern :
HPSC PGT Teacher Written Exam Pattern is As Follows :
- The Exam Will be Written Objective Type.
- There will be 150 Questions From Two Section in Written Exam.
- 100 Questions From Section A, Questions will be Based on the subject concerned as per the qualification prescribed for the post.
- 50 Questions From Section B Questions will be Based on the Educational Subjects like, Psychology, Pedagogy, GK/GS etc.
- Total Time Duration Of Examination will be 02 Hours 30 Minutes.
- All Questions Carry Equal Marks : Total 150 Marks.
- There will be Negative Marking of 1/4 Marks.

Section A –
Concerned Subject : The Exam will Cover the Syllabus Prescribe for PG Degree in the Concerned Subject.
Section B –
Education Psychology : meaning and importance, growth and development, Physical mental social, emotional and moral development during infancy, Childhood and adolescence, Individual difference Theories of Personalty – Freud, Adlen, Carl Ingard Erickson, problem solving and creativity – nature and development, memory and forgetting concept formation, Thinking Theories Piaget and Bruner, guidance and counseling- meaning need services and types.
Pedagogy : Teaching and its relationship with learning and learner, Learners in Contexts: Situation learner in the socio-political and cultural context. Managing behavior problems, Guidance & Counseling, Punishment and its legal implications, Rights of a child, Time Management, Distinction between Assessment for Learning & Assessment of Learning, School based Assessment, Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation: Perspective & Practice Understanding teaching & learning in the context of NCF, 2005 & Right to Education Act, 2009.
General Awareness : In this objective of questions about general knowledge of surrounding society of the candidates to test the awareness about surrounding activities. So, candidates should must focus on affairs about India and neighbor countries. Scientific Progress/Development, National/International Awards, Indian Languages, Books, Script, Capital, Currency, Sports-Athlete such as essential knowledge.
Also Questions Related To the History, Current Affairs, Literature, Geography, Civics, Environment, culture of Haryana.
Mental Ability : It will include questions of both verbal & non-verbal type and include question on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory etc.
Logical Reasoning : The purpose of the logical reasoning section is to test the candidate’s ability to identify patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It will include a wide variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, etc. However, visual reasoning will not be tested.
(Hindi & English) Comprehension : It will be test of English comprehension. Questions will be asked from antonyms, synonyms, grammar, one word substitution, idioms & phrases, Passage, Cloze Test, Jumble Sentences etc.
Interview Process :
- A candidate will have to secure a minimum of 50 percent marks in case of general category and 45 percent marks in case of reserve category (including all horizontal and vertical reservation cases), in the written exam to be eligible to qualify for the interview stage.
- However, a maximum of two times (including bracketed candidates, if any) the number of vacancies will be called for the interview.
- Marks obtained in the Interview will be counted Also for Final Merit Ranking.
