The Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), formerly Kanpur University, is a public state university located in Kanpur, (U.P.), India. It is administered under the State Legislature of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur was established in 1966 when Agra University was split into Agra and Kanpur Universities. The campus is spread across 264 acres.
